For manufacturing companies

zProduction

The production management system born inside companies.

zProduction is the Sandeza platform configured for manufacturing companies: it follows them from sales to quality in one single system, with quotes, bills of materials, costs, production, warehouse, traceability and invoicing. It was designed around the needs of people working on the shop floor and in engineering, to be a support and not a burden.

Who it is for

Companies that manufacture, make-to-order or in series.

Manufacturing companies, including subcontractors, working to project or in series, in small and large batches. It is used above all by companies with machining centres, internal and external operations, long bills of materials and high quality requirements: in regulated sectors such as medical, it has been validated according to GMP, in compliance with FDA rules.

What it does

One system for the whole order flow.

It performs the functions usually called management system, CRM, MRP, MES and document management. It is adopted one module at a time: if there is already a system for logistics and administration, zProduction can cover production only.

Costing and quoting

Cost per batch with all its components, quick quoting by similarity, make-or-buy comparison.

Production orders

Release to order, by grouping, to stock or mixed; times, costs, requirements and inspection plans calculated at release.

Shop floor data collection

On iPad or touch screen: quantities, scrap, downtime, set-ups, checks and consumption, with barcodes and QR codes.

Quality control

Inspection plans by operation, sampling, measuring instruments and calibration, non-conformities.

Materials procurement

Purchasing dashboard with an always up-to-date MRP calculation, requests for quotation and purchase orders.

Smart planning coming soon

Finite-capacity planning and multi-scenario optimisation, in collaboration with the Politecnico di Torino.

Item technical sheet

The heart of the system: multi-level bill of materials, routings, instructions including video, tooling, machine programs.

Logistics and traceability

Physical and logical warehouses, automatic labelling, traceability by lot, expiry date or serial number.

Invoicing and processes

Italian e-invoicing (SDI), processes and procedures with approval signatures, documents linked to every record.

Add-on

DataHub

Connects zProduction to other systems through a single API to read and write any data, also via ODBC and OData: external systems work on replica tables and never touch live data. Every operation is kept in a complete audit log. With DataHub Cloud, data is available online for reserved areas for customers, suppliers and agents, e-commerce, Business Intelligence and custom apps.

How it works

From request for quotation to shipping.

  1. The customer request comes inSales takes it on. Engineering and quality assess feasibility and get the production cost for different batch sizes.
  2. The quote becomes an orderThe price is negotiated knowing what production costs. When the customer confirms, the order is already in the system: nobody retypes it.
  3. Warehouse and purchasing know what is neededLogistics checks stock and prepares production orders; the system plans and returns material requirements, which purchasing uses to order from suppliers.
  4. The shop floor records while it worksProgress, downtime, scrap and quality checks are recorded on iPad or panel PC; work given to subcontractors is recorded in the same system. Whoever monitors margins sees them while the job is still open.
  5. Shipping and invoicingLogistics ships with the quality certificates attached; administration already has everything that happened.

The full demo is online: it runs 1 hour 38 minutes, in Italian, and it is the same for everyone. In a one-hour call we run it on your processes, and you ask the questions.

Why it is different

Born in production, for the whole company.

It starts from the factory

Most management systems come from administrative and accounting needs. zProduction was born side by side with people working on the shop floor every day, and carries everything that happened through to administration, already recorded.

It adapts to the process

No straitjacket: processes are defined in the system, with their checks, so the data matches what really happens.

Data is right from the start

Information is collected when and where it is generated, and each piece of data is entered only once.

Process quality

Procedures, revisions, non-conformities and returns managed as processes, with approval steps and tasks assigned to each person.

One module at a time

Adoption is progressive: you start from one process and add the rest when the company is ready.

Always up to date

All customers work on the same platform, which continuously receives new standard features.

Multi-company, multi-currency and multilingual. On Mac and Windows in the office, on iPad or panel PC on the shop floor. It integrates with other management systems, web services, machines and quality instruments.
